I've been treading water the last two years where my weight is concerned. The "eating healthy" comes easily now, but I just can't seem to stick to eating the right amounts. Sometimes it tastes so good, I just want more....one more bite. I added running to my list of activities in November of 2010, which also includes racquetball and DDR. My goal is to mesh the two main themes of dieting into a harmonious union that will ultimately produce weight loss. I tire of the old rut that seems to be plaguing me.
Here's how I plan to get beyond this two year plateau. There will be a blog posted for each day. I'll post pictures of my meals and snacks to keep me accountable. Even if I eat something "not so healthy", I'll post it as well.
Goals:
1. Post pictures of my meals and snacks each day.
2. Exercise at least 4 times a week.
3. Stay focused.
4. Use the skills I've mastered over the years to make a consistent push toward my goal of losing weight.
I'm sure there are others out there who are in the same boat. I know how to cut calories, eat healthy, substitute unhealthy ingredients for healthy ones, realize that variety in exercising keeps me motivated, etc. It's like having all the components for solving a problem, but never putting the parts in the right order to actually get the puzzle in one piece.
Join me in my quest to put my pieces together and make it start working for me, my waist and on the scale. I'm tired of making excuses and want to be accountable. So here we go. Am I there yet?
I am just now coming across your blog. This is so encouraging to me. I have been really trying to drop some weight. Maybe we can do it together :)
